Dr Hardeep Kataria, OD FAAO was ranked #5 in the United States on Newsweek’s America’s Top Eye Doctors 2022 and 2023!
Hardeep K Kataria, OD, FAAO is a graduate of the New England College of Optometry in Boston. She then completed her residency at the Baltimore VAMC in Ocular Disease. She had the privilege to train with top optometrists and ophthalmologists at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami and Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins University. She is passionate about medical eye care and has had training in managing advanced dry eye disease, glaucoma, diabetes, uveitis, red eyes, post-surgical eye care and more. Dr Kataria OD, FAAO is an active Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and loves to teach colleagues through writing and lecturing nationally. She currently serves as an Advisory Board Member of Women in Optometry and Editorial Board Member of several optometric publications.
Driven by her motivation to educate, teach and give back, she volunteered in Nicaragua and Panama through Vision Optometric Humanitarian Services (VOSH), providing vision care and glasses to the underprivileged communities. She also established a local volunteer eye clinic in Los Angeles in association with the Salvation Army and Rotary Club. She had the pleasure of serving as Adjunct Faculty at the Western University College of Optometry, teaching optometric doctorate candidates the fundamentals of identifying ocular disease in a community health center.
Dr. Kataria, OD FAAO truly believes in a collaborative approach to healthcare and ensures open communication amongst all of her patients’ healthcare providers. Eyes are only a part of the whole story.
Dr Kataria OD FAAO is excited to serve the neighborhoods of Porter Ranch, bringing excellent vision and medical eye care to the community. She recently relocated to Porter Ranch herself and hopes to grow her family here, with all her wonderful patients at Avant Eyes Optometry.
